Description
Cuckoo Clock – Matchbox Collection
Elephant – Cannon – Presenter – Strongman
The cuckoo is known to be a lazy bird that, rather than building its own nest, uses those of other birds.
Today, however, he found a new little house, an old box of Swedish matches, and between one hour and the next he enjoys swinging the last remaining match.
For many years, Swedish matchboxes were the ideal medium for the rapid dissemination of information. Political events, wars, attacks, catastrophes, the births and marriages of rulers, and scientific discoveries were just some of the topics illustrated on matchboxes.
Designer Marco Bedognetti reintroduces the matchbox for a new collection of cuckoo clocks called “MATCHBOX”, for which artist Nicole Da Porto, inspired by circus advertisements, has created 4 graphic themes:
“i PirondiniS Circus”
Lacquered MDF case with MDF print
Birch pendulum with sealing wax
Dimensions: cm L 21.5 x H 43 x D 10

OUR COMPANY
It was founded in 1978 under the brand name "Arti e Mestieri" by Ambrogio Pirondini. In collaboration with his brother Giovanni, who studied architecture at the Polytechnic University of Milan, after initially producing wooden items (boxes, containers, etc.) for local food companies, Arti & Mestieri expanded to the national and international markets under the brand name "Pirondini Italia," offering home furnishings and accessories. To create these new products, the company collaborated with numerous designers and artists, renowned both in Italy and abroad, including Riccardo Dalisi, Emilio Tadini, Andrea Branzi, Luca Scacchetti, Emanuele Luzzati, and others. The company is currently particularly focused on the production of table and wall clocks and cuckoo clocks.
