Cooking instructions:
Pour 750 ml of cold, unsalted water and the contents of the sachet into a 20-22 cm diameter pot. Bring to a boil and cook over medium heat, uncovered, for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add a tablespoon of olive oil at the beginning or end of cooking, if desired.

Microwave cooking instructions:
Pour the contents of the sachet into 700ml of cold water and cook at 800W for approximately 18 minutes.

The resulting Farro soup has an intense and lingering aroma; its distinctive, savory flavor is enhanced by the generous amount of beans and further complemented by the aroma of aromatic herbs. This dish, already excellent in its own right, can be enhanced with the addition of olive oil and black pepper.
