FERGHETTINA TF RED 750
Curtefranca Rosso DOC
Name: Curtefranca
Variety: 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 10% Nebbiolo, 10% Barbera
Altitude of vineyards: 150 m above sea level
Soil: Clayey Calcareous
Training system: Guyot, planted with 5,000 vines/hectare
Harvest period: Last ten days of September with manual harvesting
Vinification: After destemming, the grapes are fermented in steel tanks. Fermentation on the skins lasts approximately 10 days, and during this period, the must is pumped over at regular intervals to aid in color extraction.
Each vineyard is vinified separately from the others and at the end of fermentation the wine is transferred into barriques where it rests for 12 months.
Once the refinement process is complete, the wines from the different vineyards are assembled and bottled.
Aged on the lees: 12 months in barriques
Tasting notes: Intense ruby red color. A very elegant wine. On the nose, it has distinct notes of wild berries and light hints of tobacco.
